Welcome to the Cactus Wren Chapter, NSDAR!
We are located in Chandler, Arizona.
Our chapter members' interests are varied and we strive to show our dedication to the mission of DAR to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. These are some examples of what we do to support the mission:

Our chapter members' interests are varied and we strive to show our dedication to the mission of DAR to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. These are some examples of what we do to support the mission:
- HISTORIC PRESERVATION -
- Sponsors the American History Essay Contest at a local school
- Conducts genealogical research of our families and provides assistance to prospective members
- Volunteers with the Genealogical Preservation Committee and Historic Preservation Committees
- Supports DAR Library & DAR Museum
- Volunteers with historical societies and other endeavors
- Provides funds and other items to DAR sponsored schools
- Promotes education and citizenship through youth programs such as Children of the American Revolution, DAR Good Citizens, and Junior American Citizens
- Sponsors American History essay contests for youth
- Provides volunteer time annually to veterans at non-VA facilities
- Attends Constitution Week events to promote the Constitution during its official celebration during the week which includes September 17
- Presents patriotic awards to deserving individuals including: DAR Good Citizen Awards and Medals and Community Service Awards
- Sponsors two Junior ROTC Medals at two local high schools
- Serves and provides local level services to veterans in the community
- Volunteers with local community services
